Denver Polo Club History

Cottonwood Riding Club is the home of the Denver Polo Club. The Club is located just 20 minutes south of Littleton and is adjacent to Chatfield State Park. The Club sits on 160 acres and includes an indoor arena, 4 large outdoor riding arenas, a cross country course, conditioning track, paddocks, stalls and of course, the fields, located just 5 minutes south.

Even the best polo ponies, jumpers, and hunt horses benefit from the tranquil ride offered by the miles of wooded trails in Chatfield State Park. But what really makes the Denver Polo Club unique is its friendly atmosphere and cordial members who are active in making this the best club in Denver. The Gandomcar family built Cottonwood Riding Club and the Denver Polo Club from the ground up. They instill the same family values that the girls grew up with through out the club. The gracious hospitality and warm feeling have created many traditions and memorable times for players, families, members, sponsors and even our spectators.

Because of his love of the game John Gandomcar has created a home for polo in Colorado where major events are scheduled each year offering Colorado’s best, great polo and a great climate, to people around the world.
